You stare dreamily; how sad you look
Slowly and gracefully you take off your garments
Staring in the mirror you notice the pain from years past
Forming on your body, cuts and burns driven to madness
You back out of the room, keeping your eyes on the mirror
You smile as you notice the marks fade away
But deep down you know that the closer you come to sanity
The more you shall feel and regret the pain you wait to overcome
As quick as a spark, you are on your toes
Feeling the different textures on the lawn
Throwing yourself into the black water, your memories begin to wash away
Your last moments of air decapitate within a few seconds
And when it's too late to return to the light above,
You scream in terror at your mistakes, laughing that the pain is now over,
Once and for all

Whoa. I just got so into that. I have one of those long mirrors on my closet door and I just totally pictured and felt everything. Which was insane

Your poetry is lovely. The metaphors and visual imagery you use are very clever and, while raw and gritty, are almost lyrical. Good job.
